Lo que s\u00ed es verdad es que en un entorno hospitalario muchas veces el tiempo no est\u00e1 a nuestro favor.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Y es que, aunque en ocasiones las intervenciones est\u00e1n justificadas y salvan vidas, en muchas otras se realizan \u00fanicamente por protocolos no actualizados.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pongo el ejemplo de la episiotom\u00eda, una intervenci\u00f3n generalizada en los hospitales que se realiza con la intenci\u00f3n de evitar desgarros, y que la propia OMS la recomienda SOLO en casos extremos. Cabe decir que un desgarro cicatriza mucho mejor que una episiotomia, de modo que si no hay riesgo para el beb\u00e9, no hay ning\u00fan motivo para hacerlo. Y no, que la mam\u00e1 est\u00e9 \u00abtardando demasiado\u00bb no es un motivo. Que el personal quiera terminar antes tampoco.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Si el personal m\u00e9dico solo nos habla de los beneficios de una intervenci\u00f3n sin mencionar los riesgos o las alternativas, nos est\u00e1 invitando a desconfiar. Porque toda intervenci\u00f3n tiene sus beneficios y sus riesgos. Y es, teniendo toda la informaci\u00f3n que podemos tomar una decisi\u00f3n informada.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pues bien, te dejo aqu\u00ed el significado de B.R.A.I.N para que entiendas todo esto un poco mejor.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">B\u30fbBeneficios<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00bfQu\u00e9 beneficios tiene la intervenci\u00f3n que se propone?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">E\u30fbRiesgos<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00bfQu\u00e9 riesgos tiene?, \u00bfC\u00f3mo afectar\u00e1 al parto?, \u00bfY al beb\u00e9?, \u00bfY a la la lactancia?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A\u30fbAlternativas<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00bfExisten alternativas?, \u00bfCu\u00e1les son?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I\u30fbIntuici\u00f3n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00bfQu\u00e9 me dice la intuici\u00f3n?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">N\u30fbNada<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00bfQu\u00e9 pasa si no hago nada y simplemente espero?, \u00bfY si esperamos media hora, una hora?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Es muy importante que tu acompa\u00f1ante sepa usar BRAIN ya que seguramente sea \u00e9l\/ ella quien tenga estas conversaciones con el personal m\u00e9dico.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recuerda: es tu proceso, tu cuerpo, tu beb\u00e9. T\u00fa tienes el poder.
